This pond was built around 1996 and has 5500 gallons, it measures 21’ x 13’ x 4’ and is an informal shape.  It was built in blockwork, rendered and finished in fibreglass.

A bottom drain feeds a Cloverleaf vortex then two bays of Japanese matting and flocor.  This is powered by a 1/3 hp pump and aerated with a hi-blow.  The water is cleaned with one skimmer and returned to the pond with two water returns.

Two 55 watt UVs and a pergola with shading keep the blanket weed under control.  The pond is heated with a 3-kilo watt heater and is covered in winter.
